Description
This class is part of our “Summer Creative Nonfiction Series,” a variety of single-session classes on Tuesday evenings designed to tackle one element of creative nonfiction writing in each class. You can take one class, pick and choose, or take all of them! You can find all other classes in the series here.
What are among the most memorable meals of your life? (Was it memorable because it was delicious, atrocious, or something in between?) Who did you share them with? Where were they prepared?
When we write about food, more often than not we’re actually writing a side-ways story about our communities, our loved ones, and our experiences. In this single-session course, we will use food writing as an avenue into creative nonfiction, using several short generative exercises to think expansively about what the genre of food writing can do to help us tell our stories.
