Description
No matter the musical acrobatics or lyrical finesse of a poem, it is a precise and well-earned image that stays with the reader. Using multimodal writing exercises, poets of all levels will create work that is personal and image driven. We will read poems across identities to explore the political and cultural ramifications of a writer’s specificity when image building. We will use other artistic mediums and their techniques to elevate our poems into the sublime. Writers of all genres are welcome. Those with play in their hearts and no fear of failure furrowing their brow are strongly encouraged to attend.
