Description
Staying focused and accountable to your goals is one of the biggest challenges of writing. And sometimes you just want space and time to write without the focus on publishing, submitting, etc. This month-long online class will concentrate on accountability and goal setting for writers of all levels with lower stakes and more focus on getting words on the page. Writers will meet once a week on Monday evenings for a check-in and writing session led by your instructor. This will include tips, writing prompts, and some thoughts on craft to get motivated. This accountability group will not require any reading of or feedback on peer work, but you are welcome to set those up outside of the class with your peers. We hope you’ll make connections you can carry with you longterm.
During each week we’ll keep in touch with an accountability calendar and weekly email check-ins.
Example of Monday schedule:
- 6:30pm – 6:50pm: Check in for the week + short writing lecture
