If you have been struggling to start or make progress on a project, or if you tend to lose focus in the summer, this is the class for you. Each week we will start with a physical yoga practice. Then, students will share their goals or intentions for the session. Prompts will be provided, and starting in week 2, prompts and readings will be tailored to students’ individual project goals and productivity blocks.
Some sample readings might include selections from Anne Lamott’s Bird by Bird, Ranier Maria Rilke’s Letters to a Young Poet, or Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi’s Flow.
At the end of each session, students will share their progress and goals for the upcoming week. Accountability check-ins with the instructor will be available in between classes. By the end of the class, students should have developed a regular writing practice that fits into their own life and supports the goals of their project.
