About Jessie Ann Foley

Jessie Ann Foley is the Printz honor-winning author of the novels The Carnival at Bray, Neighborhood Girls, Sorry for Your Loss, and You Know I’m No Good. Her work has been named to best-of lists by Kirkus Reviews, Booklist, YALSA, Entertainment Weekly, and many other outlets, and has been featured on school and library recommended reading lists all across the United States. Her debut children’s picture book, Agatha May and the Anglerfish, and her debut novel for middle grade readers, Breda’s Island, will be out in 2022. Jessie holds an M.Ed. in Secondary Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an M.F.A. from Columbia College Chicago. She is a licensed grade 6-12 educator with over a decade of high school teaching experience. Jessie lives with her family in Chicago, where she was born and raised.
