Description

A creative writing workshop emphasizing composition and a blend of visual art and creative writing. In this week-long camp, students will create short pieces of writing such as poetry, character sketches, and micro fiction, accompanied by visual arts mini-projects. Students will be encouraged to blend the lines between visual art and the writing they produce. Visual art mini-projects may include photography, sketching, painting, and cut paper elements.

About Christina Bucaro

Christina Bucaro has been an English teacher for 10 years in Chicago, working with youth to develop reading and writing skills. With a passion for language, art, and self-expression, Ms. Bucaro teaches thematic English courses such as Creative Writing and Journalism. She grew up in and around Chicago, andenjoys painting, drawing, writing, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
