Devin Murphy is the national bestselling author of the novels The Boat Runner and Tiny Americans. These books have been selected for Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers, Illinois Reads, and as a Chicago Writers Association Book of the Year. His recent short stories appear or are forthcoming in The Chicago Tribune, Glimmer Train, The Missouri Review, The Sun, and New Stories from the Midwest as well as many others. He’s also written nonfiction for Outside Magazine, LitHub, The Millions, and New Ohio Review. He holds an MFA from Colorado State University, a PHD from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln, and is currently an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at Bradley University. He lives in Chicago with his wife and children.
