We have two scholarship funds for our year-long programs: Both are in memory of former students. Doro Boehme was a student in Rebecca Makkai’s Novel in a Year 2017 cohort. These scholarships provide grants to inspired or emerging writers in our In-a-Year programs to create, publish, and change the world with their stories.
Your dollars can go a long way to helping us reach more writers and storytellers. Any amount will help, but here are some concrete numbers to help your generosity meet our needs:
$500 will fund one Doro Boehme grant we supply to a writer in our In a Year programs.
We offer two $500 grants per cohort, and have anywhere from 8-10 cohorts in a calendar year, totaling in $10,000 worth of grant funding per year.
