StoryStudio Chicago is committed to keeping our classes accessible to all writers. We know that life interferes with our art sometimes, but the following policies apply to all refunds, transfers, and cancellations.

Course Fees and Refunds

Course fees must be paid before classes begin. If you need to cancel your registration for any reason, the following refund policy will be applied. 

Please note that when you register for a class you are reserving one of a limited number of spots available. Also, your registration counts toward our consideration of class minimums.

To refund a Single-Session Classes, you must cancel prior to one week before the first session. We will refund you: Registration fee minus a cancellation fee of $25.

To refund Multi-Week Classes, you must cancel prior to one week before the first session. We will refund you: Registration fee minus 10% of the course fee paid.

To refund a special event or retreat, you must cancel three weeks prior to the first day. We will refund you: Program fees minus a cancellation fee of 25% of the fee paid.

If you cancel less than one week prior to the first class or event:
Sorry, no refunds or credits are available less than one week before the first class session. No refunds are given after a class has begun.

Transfer Fees
In some circumstances, we may be able to transfer your registration from one course to another before a class starts. Please note that a transfer fee will be applied. This transfer cannot be applied to all courses. Email us with questions.

Cancellation due to low enrollment
StoryStudio Chicago reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. If a class is cancelled, students are eligible for a full refund.

Refunds are usually sent within 5-10 days of cancellation.
